Transition Organic
Lucky 13 Farm is currently classified as a transition organic farm. This means our certification is in the works!
We strictly abide by organic practices and do not use any synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or sprays on the farm. Any inputs utilized on the farm are locally sourced and certified organic. Some of the products we use are Vermont Compost, Coast of Maine, North Country Organics, and Neptune’s Harvest.
While we maintain the records required by the USDA to receive our certification, you can be confident in our products to be chemical free and of the highest quality.
Farming with kids means safety first and we do not use any sprays! Our practices include the use of inclusion nets, companion planting, beneficial insects, and trap cropping. We are currently working with UNH and UVM to develop and maintain a healthy and rigorous IPM (Integrated Pest Management) strategy.
Food Safety Certified
We are food safety Certified!
We follow all Food Safety Modernization Act regulations and are certified by the Produce Safety Alliance. We handle all of our products with great attention to detail and cleanliness.
